You’re looking at a 2016 Trek Fuel EX 9.8.  Size Small with 27.5” wheels and 120mm of travel front and back.

$1,300

Carbon main Frame and Seatstays, Alloy Chainstays and Swing Arm.

Excellent mechanical condition with a few shallow scratches (see pics) which are only on the paint.  Bearings in pivots work well and there’s no play whatsoever.

The bike was well taken care of and was only used for trail riding and XC racing.

Mostly stock but has a few modifications and upgrades.

STOCK PARTS

Shock: Fox Float with Trek’s “Reaktiv” technology, adjustable Compression (3 settings) and Rebound.  142×12 thru axle (Not Boost).

Fork: Fox 34 with adjustable Compression and Rebound.  100×15 thru axle (Not Boost).

Dropper Post: Rockshox Reverb Stealth

Wheels: DT Swiss M1900 Spline

Rear Der: Shimano XT 11speed

Cassette: Shimano XT 11-40, 11sp.

MODS & UPGRADES

Converted to 1X.  I still have the front derailleur/rings/shifter if you want it.

Crankset: Shimano XT—Brand New!

Chainring: Wolf Tooth Drop Stop Oval 32teeth.  Oval chainrings have the mechanical advantage of variable leverage, so this chainring is effectively 34T at the widest, and 30T at the narrowest.

Shifter: Shimano SLX 11sp.  Brand-new!

Brakes: Shimano Deore hydraulic. 7” rotors front and back.

Handlebar: Carbon Race Face Next.  720mm.

Tires: Bontrager XR3 Team Issue 2.2 (F), Specialized Fast Track Control 2.2 (R).  Both tubeless and with plenty of tread left.  These are light XC tires but would change to meatier trail tires if you want.

New crankset, shifter, cables, and a freshly serviced fork!

This price is special for the NICA community.  Shipping or Paypal fee (3%) are not included so I’d encourage pick-up to save a bunch.

I’d be happy to answer any questions.

Happy Holidays!
